Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes at Salama Machine Ltd. You will play a critical role in shaping our company culture, supporting our employees, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business goals
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for factory and office staff
- Oversee payroll, employee loans, salary deductions, and benefits administration
- Maintain HR databases, employee records, and performance management systems
- Ensure compliance with Rwandan labor laws, health, and safety regulations
- Support managers and team leaders with performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution fairly and consistently
- Plan and coordinate training, development, and team-building programs
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to build a strong company culture
- Collaborate with management to support organizational restructuring and growth
- Support safety and risk management policies to prevent workplace incidents
- Prepare regular HR reports for management (attendance, turnover, payroll costs, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Officer, HR Generalist, or similar role
- Solid knowledge of HR functions, payroll, and employee relations
- Familiarity with HR systems, Google Workspace, and/or ERP platforms (Odoo, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Rwandan labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
